🏢 Roof Waterproofing

Polyurethane liquid-applied membrane, torch-on bituminous, or EPDM sheet system. Covers flat roofs, sloped roofs, parapets, and roof penetrations. Includes pre-application survey, substrate preparation, priming, two-coat application, and 10-year warranty.

🏠 Basement Waterproofing

Negative-side or positive-side tanking with cementitious crystalline slurries (Xypex, Penetron) or polyurethane injection for hydrostatic pressure. Includes crack routing, chemical injection, and compartment testing.

🚿 Bathroom and Wet-Area Waterproofing

Pre-tile liquid-applied membrane (Mapelastic, Kerdi) on showers, tubs, and floor drains. Includes substrate prep, membrane, mesh reinforcement on joints, flood testing before tiling.

UV-resistant liquid-applied polyurethane over existing screed, with drainage upgrades. Includes parapet wall waterproofing and planter-box tanking where relevant.

Silicone or siloxane-based hydrophobic impregnation, elastomeric crack bridging, and render-repair for facade degradation. Breathable systems prevent trapped moisture.

From Survey to 10-Year Warranty in 4 Steps

  1. 01
    Site Survey and Leak Detection

    Thermal imaging, moisture mapping, and pressure testing identify every leak source and failing waterproofing. You receive a written report with photos, a priority-ranked scope, and a fixed quote.

  2. 02
    Substrate Preparation

    Existing failing membranes removed, substrate cleaned and repaired, cracks routed and filled, primer applied. Skipping this step is the #1 reason competitor waterproofing fails within 2–3 years.

  3. 03
    Multi-Coat Application

    Two or three coats of the system selected (polyurethane, cementitious, bituminous, elastomeric) with mesh reinforcement on joints. All coats checked for thickness before next coat.

  4. 04
    Flood Test and Sign-Off

    Completed work flood-tested (24 hours for wet areas, 72 hours for roofs). You receive a 10-year written warranty, material data sheets, and application records.

Waterproofing Dubai — Common Questions

Why does waterproofing fail after only 2–3 years in Dubai?

UV exposure and thermal cycling degrade inferior materials. Most failures are traced to three causes: inadequate substrate preparation, single-coat application (when two coats were needed), or use of generic paint marketed as waterproofing. We apply only manufacturer-certified systems with a minimum 10-year warranty.

Do I need to empty the room/property during waterproofing?

Usually no for external work (roofs, balconies, external walls). For bathrooms we ask you to vacate the wet area for 48 hours to allow the membrane to cure and be flood-tested before re-tiling. Basements require temporary relocation of stored items but the space itself remains accessible.

Is waterproofing part of the DLP (defects liability period)?

Yes. Developers are obligated to correct waterproofing failures during the DLP (usually 1 year for finishes, 10 years for structural waterproofing). Our survey report documents failures in developer-supplied waterproofing and is accepted as evidence for defect-liability claims.

Can you waterproof over existing mold?

No. Mold must be removed first. Waterproofing over active mold traps spores and accelerates substrate deterioration. We coordinate mold removal and waterproofing as a combined project so you are not paying two separate mobilisations.

What is the warranty, and what does it cover?

Written 10-year warranty on materials and workmanship, transferable with property sale. Covers re-treatment of any area that fails to prevent water ingress as documented at handover. Does not cover damage from structural movement, impact, or subsequent modifications.
